Lucky Stripes Charters

2009 was a great tournament year for "Lucky Stripes"  with several 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes.   Capt. Mike Greene also landed a 58.81 pound striper in 2009 which held up for largest fish of the year in The Fisherman dream Boat Contest as well as fish of the month for the On the Water Magazine Striper Cup.  All tournament placings are listed below.

Atlas Reels and Lucky Stripes Teaming up For ASA

This Year we will be fishing the ASA Striper tournament series along with our new sponsor, Atlas Reels.  This series is new to us and we will have to learn new waters and techniques.  We are very excited and should be a ton of fun.

The First stop was down in Virginia Beach January 7, 2010.  The Mid Atlantic Rockfish Shootout proved to be some tough fishing with air temperatures in the 20s and water temperatures dropping into the low 40s.  Despite long runs, cold water temperatures, and some slow fishing we did manage to put a decent catch together with our two biggest fish total equaling 65.15 pounds leaving us in 6th place to start the year.
